Contracts Manager, Bidvest Facilities Manager, Pretoria, 2017 to 2017

• Contracts Manager on technical contracts for Bidvest Facilities Management.
• Managed to reimplement non-profitable contracts to establish profit on all.
• Implemented a business model around shared resourcing within the technical services. This effect tender pricing leading to increased business and market share.

Senior Facilities Manager, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Pretoria, 2011 to 2017

• Recruited by Regional Manager on a 30-day contract to assist with the Facilities Management at Menlyn Park. Were permanently appointed and promoted to Senior Facilities Manager within 9 months.
• Oversee the operational management including all soft services.
• Reduced the power consumption by the HVAC Plant leading to financial savings of R100m over 5 years.
• Was awarded the Best Operations Manager Award from Old Mutual for the Operations Management at Menlyn Park.
• Part of the Professional Team for the redevelopment of Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. An R3bn project making Menlyn the biggest mall in Africa – R170 000 square meter.
• Implemented an energy saving strategy leading to saving in excess of R100m over 5 years.
• Designed and implemented a Carbon Footprint strategy.

Regional Technical Manager, Old Mutual Properties, Inland Region, 2013 to 2014

• Managed 64 buildings through a team of 8 Facilities Managers until Old Mutual closed their Property Management division.
• Moved back to Menlyn Park as Senior Facilities Manager when Menlyn Park was sold to Pareto (Pty) Ltd.
• Implemented security upgrade for Riverside Mall in Nelspruit and The Zone in Rosebank.

Regional Operations Manager, Trafalgar Properties, Johannesburg, 2008 to 2013

• Managed 60 000 section title units and 6000 residential units in the Johannesburg CBD.
• Decreased the arrears on the CBD portfolio from 13% to 1% within 12 months.
• Implemented a maintenance call centre and preventative maintenance system across the portfolio.

National Facilities Manager, Shoprite Distribution, Pretoria, 2004 to 2008

• Managed all the Shoprite Distribution Centres across South Africa.

Improved materials handling equipment uptime by 15% by implementing a maintenance plan across the network.
